LIONS DAY OUT

We provide a day out at Chessington Theme Park for a party of children and parents or carers from low income families. These children rarely have an opportunity to visit a them part so we take them to Chessington in a coach and provide the entrance fee and expenses.

WILDERNESSE SCHOOL CYCLE SHED

The Headmaster of Widlernesse School wanted to encourage his pupils to cycle to school to improve the health of the students, reduce traffic and minimise pollution. However, the cycle shed was in a dilapidated condition and could not be used. The Lions Club refurbished the shed to ensure that the pupils' bikes can be stored safely. The School can now encourage its pupils to adopt a healthier life-style.

Shoreham pre-school had an old radio which could no longer be heard over the noise of 16 children. The Lions Club purchased a new one which enables the teachers to lead the children effectively in dance and song.
