Many Senockians will have seen the Lions cake stall at the local market in bligh’s Meadow.. We sell a range of high quality, wonderfully aromatic, reasonably priced fruit cakes made specially for the Lions by the Original Cake Company of Lincoln. Come and try one. But be careful - you could become addicted. The Lions cake selection includes: rich fruit, fruit and nut, Genoa, stem ginger, date and walnut. There is also a cake suitable for diabetics. The stall also acts as contact point for the public.

Each year the Lions Club holds a raffle of giant Easter eggs in many of the major hostelries in the area. Publicans have been extraordinarily helpful in permitting us to hold our raffle on their premises. If our eggs do not appear in your local, have a word with mine host and ensure that he contacts us.  

 

Each year in July we hold a beer festival which enables connoisseurs to taste the best beers and ciders from Kent.  In 2010 it was held at the Rugby club in Sevenoaks and attracted a horde of lovers of real ale.

Race nights and quiz nights are fun social events as well as raising considerable sums of money.

Lions visit local fetes with various types of stall. In 2010 Lions braved rather cold mid-September weather at the Riverhead fete where they had two stalls.
