LIONS BRAND FRUIT CAKES

Many Senockians will have seen the Lions cake stall at the local farmers' market. We sell a range of high quality, wonderfully aromatic, reasonably priced fruit cakes made specially for the Lions by Jonathan Battersby of Lincoln. Come and try one.  But be careful - you could become addicted.  The Lions cake selection includes: rich fruit, fruit and nut, Genoa, stem ginger, date and walnut. There is also a cake suitable for diabetics.

CHRISTMAS COLLECTIONS

At Christmas, many people will have have seen the Lions bright sleigh together with a cheerful Father Christmas (but unfortunately no Rudolf) collecting outside the station and local supermarkets. Santa welcomes children and has an (almost) inexhaustible supply of sweets for them. Local traders have been extremely helpful in allowing us to operate on their premises at Christmas. These collections are a very effective way of filling our coffers.

RACE NIGHT

The Club runs an annual horse race night to which supporters are invited. it is a fun evening for all and raises around £1000 for our funds.

EASTER EGG RAFFLE

Each year the Lions Club holds a raffle of giant Easter eggs in many of the major hostelries in the area. Publicans have been extraordinarily helpful in permitting us to hold our raffle on their premises. If our eggs do not appear in your local, have a word with mine host and ensure that he contacts us.
