Our main fundraising event is our Heavy Horse Show which is held at Shoreham, Kent on the first Sunday in September. It raises between £15,000 and £20,000.
What is it?
The Heavy Horse Show is fun for all the family. It combines demonstrations by heavy horses, the engines of England before steam power, with activities for children, a craft fair, a whole range of stalls with local products and a range of fast food booths. It attracts around 5,000 visitors each year. Those wishing to book stalls can do so by calling 01732 455638
Where is it?
The show is held at Shoreham, Kent which is situated just off the A225 between Sevenoaks and Swanley. The show field is very close to Shoreham station (on the A225) and is clearly signposted from the main road.
You will see these wonderful horses not only dressed for the parade ground but also working, ploughing a field and pulling carts.

We not only have the horses but also demonstrations by their competitor, the steam plough.

There is plenty of fun for children with a slide, bouncy castle, wagon rides, donkey rides and a roundabout.

There is plenty for the older age groups to enjoy too. From classic cars and motorcycles through demonstrations of crafts to shopping from stalls.

Then, of course, there are the arena events. These range from demonstrations of raptors (kestrels, hawks etc) to dog handling.
