COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Our aim is to enrich the lives of those who find it difficult to help themselves. The Club, therefore, focuses its projects preferentially on four areas - youth, the handicapped, families and senior citizens. We raise funds from the people of Sevenoaks and we ensure that at least 95% of our revenue is spent on projects that benefit our local community. We strive to ensure that every penny of income is employed to create maximum advantage for the district.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMME 2007 -2008
Each year we have a core community programme around which we organise our other activities. In the year 2007 - 2008 our programme will be:
December 2007 - Christmas parcels for people on limited incomes March 2008 - Old Time Concert for senior citizens June 2008 - Day our for children and parents on limited incomes August 2008 - Outings for older folk
A few examples of our recent activities are given under each heading to demonstrate the range of the club's interests.
In addition to these activities we help a wide range of local people and charities. We also collect old spectacles for reuse in the developing world.
